Donations to the Endowment Fund are to be used to support education of the public regarding the DuBois family via exhibits, sponsorship or related academic programs and other activities that are aligned with the purposes of the Association.NOTE: the DuBois Family Association has maintained its IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status as a charitable organization since 1997. This means that the DBFA is not required to pay federal taxes and also that charitable contributions to DBFA may be tax deductible depending upon the donor’s tax situation. Donors should consult their tax advisors regarding their particular circumstances. All donations will be gratefully received and carefully used, as designated and for the good of the Association.
Monies donated to the Fort Fund are earmarked specifically to support repairs and any activities related to the care and maintenance of the Old Fort in New Paltz, NY (the DuBois family house, part of the Historic Huguenot Street holdings).NOTE: the DuBois Family Association has maintained its IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status as a charitable organization since 1997. This means that the DBFA is not required to pay federal taxes and also that charitable contributions to DBFA may be tax deductible depending upon the donor’s tax situation.
