• As an Independent Family Association, the DBFA will work in partnership with Historic Huguenot Street (HHS) and other Huguenot associations as needed for the furtherance of mutual goals.

• To provide funds for the acquisition, restoration, and endowment of the DuBois homestead (the Old Fort) in New Paltz, New York and of such other structures as the Association may vote to acquire, as a memorial or memorials to Louis DuBois, Jacques DuBois and Francoise DuBois Billiou.

• To assemble, maintain / update and publish the genealogy of the DuBois family.

• To preserve and advance our Huguenot heritage in partnerships as noted above. This includes management of all materials and property including, but not limited to, documents, records and donated articles and maintenance of an inventory thereof.

Board of Directors Meetings

The Board of Directors for the DBFA meets telephonically or virtually every other month, starting in January of every year.  On occasion, special meetings can be held outside the regular Board meetings, as set by the President of the Association.  Members are invited to contact the President (President@dbfa.org) with any concerns or topics to be discussed by the Board during the bimonthly meetings.

DBFA Biennial Meeting / Family Reunions

The Association holds an in-person family meeting every other year, in New Paltz, New York (conditions permitting).  The most recent was held October 11, 2025.  In addition to providing an opportunity to get members of the Association together to share stories and genealogy information and to visit our family home, The Old Fort, the biennial meeting is the time to meet and cast votes for the election of Officers and Directors of the Association.
